I graduated from UWS in 2001 and I'm now practicing as a barrister in criminal and commercial law. I always wanted to be an advocate because people see us as their avenue to justice. But a lot of people don't get a fair go. I wanted to do something about it. I wanted to make a difference. And now I can. Studying at UWS they really test what you've got and what you want to do with it. They give you intensive practical training in their moot courts, and running real cases. It brings the law to life, while teaching you the skills to practice it successfully when you leave. I felt my learning was very relevant to my work. It confirmed what I wanted to do. And it gave me the confidence to do it.
